Review
The characters in this story are very true to the nature of those in high school. For example,the jock, photographer, fasionista, the shy quiet type, the strong minded and then there's the one facing their sexuality. All of these different types of characters are working together for the school newspaper, some forced but most out of the love of reporting. Within this group they have all come together to solve a crime and get their story which is much more then one reporter can do alone. I loved the characters in this story however I will say that the story line fell short of what I was expecting from the blurb. I felt like only bits and pieces of the main story was even brought forth. Kyle, really does not address his visions nor his sexuality all that often and when it's even brought up, it's very short! The blurb sounds as if the story is about a young man coping with these new abilities and being gay in high school while solving a mystery however the book itself seems to over power who the main character is suppose to be and what he is dealing with. If this makes any sense to you what so ever.
I do however see the possibility of this story getting better. The ending had a nice little cliffhanger that makes you want to read more to find out what will happen. I for one never expected that ending. I would not write this author out or her series. I'm hoping actually to watch the author blossom from here.
