Excerpt

The atmosphere around us changed drastically. My breathing came out in uneven gasps and I was sure that he could hear my heart hammering in my chest. I reached my hand up slowly to touch his face. This time he let me. My fingers traced his jaw line, his cheek, and finally his hard lips, which were parted just slightly from his own haggard breathing.
Ever so painfully slow he brought his face closer to me. I closed my eyes and tilted my chin in anticipation of his lips against mine. Seconds ticked by and nothing happened. I opened my eyes in disappointment to find he was staring at me. He had moved further back in the saddle to allow some distance between us.
            “What’s wrong?” I breathed.
“I want to kiss you,” he growled.
“So?” I leaned forward eagerly, but his strong hands stopped me.
            “I can’t kiss you, Eva.”
“Why not?” My face felt hot.
            “It’s against my rules.”
            “What rules?” I was confused.
“I can not let myself fall for someone,” he paused, trying to find the right words, but finally he just finished, “like you.”
“What am I?” I felt my eyes sting with tears.
He groaned loudly and buried his face against my hair. He inhaled deeply and then abruptly pulled my face up to meet his again.
His kiss was sudden and unexpected, but not unpleasant. As I responded to him, he deepened the kiss and I soon found myself melted into his chest. I entwined my arms around his neck to hold him to me. He made small noises with his mouth that sent a thrill of pleasure down my spine.
After an amount of time that was too short he broke the kiss off, but his hands still eagerly stroked my face and my hair and my neck. He kissed me again and again until I was dizzy from the effect. I would have surely fallen off the saddle if Nickolas hadn’t been holding onto me so tight.
“Oh, Eva,” he whispered roughly in my hair, “who are you?”

MY REVIEW

Okay, If you have read any of my other reviews you would know that I have a real soft spot with covers. I LOVE COVERS! Let's face it, a cover just draws you to a book! This cover to me is pretty. It's not over crowded. It's elegantly done. So, with that..Well done on the cover. NOW, to the inside of the book-the story.....Amy, Amy,Amy........ I truly must admit I think you are a very talented author and Timeless just gives us all a wonderful glimpse into it!
I loved Timeless. It takes you on a journey that you normally would not go on in a paranormal book containing Vampires.
Eva was created to kill Dominick! She has spent her entire life training and preparing for the day she is to face him. She's known nothing but hatred for him her whole life, even without meeting him.
The plan- travel back to the past and destroy Dominick. The weapon- Eva and the fact Dominick has no knowledge of her (how could he, she's a bad-ass future chick)..
However,
Eva's betrayed and her memory is wiped!  When she wakes up everything is a blur. She knows nothing of herself but a few lasting memories or dreams, ones she can't tell apart from! All she knows is that the stranger whom rescued her is seeping into her heart more and more each day!
When Eva finally starts to gain her memory back everything changes again! I can't go into all this because let's face it...you have to be surprised by the events that unfold and I am surely not going to be the one to ruin that! Just know this......There's a lot more deception and love in this book then you would think. Battles of the mind and literal battles to happen.

Timeless is a novel not to be passed up - one that leaves you with just enough questions you are just itching to learn more of. You won't be able to help but want more! 4 Stars!

About this author

I wear many hats. Author, mother, cook, housekeeper, laundry do-er, sister, daughter. I enjoy writing, it allows me to escape the realities of life: bills, day job, baths, supper, dieting, cleaning the litter box.
My writing is usually romantic in nature with a bit of humor and a bit of surprise. My books range from Vampires who fall in and out of love so many times I had to make it a series to christian stories of finding out what is important in life.
I have always loved writing. During my high school days I wrote one book. It was a vampire love story. It took me so long to write it that I began to think of the characters as real people. I still do that today.
On a personal note: I have three wonderful children - Gavin, Arabelle, and Elijah, two not so wonderful cats, and two rats. We all live in a small town in northern Ohio. There is more corn here than vampires or werewolves, at least that I know of.

What People Are Saying About It
Completely sucked into this book....and that is no pun towards the vampires involved. Everyone, religious or not, has heard the major stories of the Bible....Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, and Samson and Delilah. This book is an incredible spin off those stories.
Main characters Dika and Chrome are amazing. As Dika who views herself as plain an ordinary in comparison to her sisters is adored by her dragon Chrome. Any woman would consider herself blessed and lucky to be described as Chrome describes Dika.
This book is action packed and now I am thoroughly disappointed that I have to wait for the next installments!" –Jeannie Christo, Goodreads reviewer

“This author is currently one of my new favorites!  Her stories are fast paced and well written.  I had to force myself to put my kindle down in order to sleep!” – Ashlee Vaughn 2012 Goodreads review

“Cool! It’s a great read!!”  Tamara Beard Goodreads reviewer

December 28, 2012 I was curious, when I read the blurb, as to how this spin would be a successful PNR, but Ms. Schroder makes it work. There are some typographical errors, but I was so engrossed in the story that it didn't really matter much. The heroine, Dika, grows throughout the story and the hero, Chrome Jai, is protective and strong... I can't wait to read the next book. I didn't get enough of the Daughters... I almost wish I'd found Thunderstorm after the author had released a few more in the series... Can I have more please? - Mandymonkey – Amazon Reviewer 2012

I was lucky enough to read an ARC of Thunderstorm (Daughters of Eden) and all I can honestly say about it is this:
WOW!!!
I wasn't sure what to expect at first...I think we are all a little nervous, picking up an author we may not have heard of before. Now? Yeah- counting my LUCKY STARS!
From the very first pages, J.M. Schroder has her fingers into you and you are helpless to escape!
This wasn't at all what I'd expected. I ADORE Dika! She grows and as she learns who/what she is, I felt like I, the reader, was right there with her.
I would also, RIGHT NOW, like to ask Santa to add one Chrome Jai to my Christmas list!
This story is truly an original and honestly, I'm not sure five stars is even enough to rate it! TEN STARS wouldn't get us half way there!

I'm telling you right now..yeah...YOU! That person who is reading this and waffling...make the purchase! You will not be sorry you did!!” – Lisa Morgan (Beta Reader) Amazon Reviewer
