Book Description

 August 23, 2011
"A pulse-pounding adrenaline surge brimming with poetic pyrotechnics, Rush's story caresses your heart. Wasteland is a game-changer in the ho-hum angel/demon world. Beautifully written prose, strong characters and a compelling plot will keep readers hooked until the last page."--RT Book Reviews
~~~
"WASTELAND is a fast paced, sexy, romantic tale with characters who instantly capture your attention...and your heart. The hero is honorable and darkly tormented, while the heroine is idealistic and strong. Lynn Rush has created a world of good and evil--where nothing is quite as it seems. I lost myself in the story and truly enjoyed every minute of it." ~~Rebecca Zanetti, author of FATED
Salvation comes with a price...
Bound by the blood contract his human mother signed four centuries ago, half-demon, David Sadler, must obey his demonic Master's order to capture fifteen-year-old Jessica Hanks. But as he learns more about her, he realizes she may be the key to freedom from his dark enslavement.
The only obstacle--Jessica's distractingly beautiful Guardian, Rebeka Abbott. He must not give in to their steamy chemistry, or he will lose his humanity. But fresh off a quarter millennia of sensory deprivation as punishment for not retrieving his last target, he may not be able to resist temptation long enough to save what's left of his human soul.
The Voice is a Powerful Thing...
Russell Leonard is a centuries-old Guardian who's lost faith in his purpose. So when he's charged with procuring the first female Guardian in over two centuries, he can only hope it's the red-headed beauty who's been haunting his dreams for months. And if it is, he intends to claim her as his.
But when he finds his dream woman, Annabelle is mute and bears no Guardian's Mark. He soon realizes she's been tainted by an ancient evil. Russell must somehow release the secrets trapped within this delicate, mute beauty, to help her tap into the only weapon powerful enough to silence a millennia-old demon--her voice.
Forbidden Bond Blog tour review on Unforgiven and giveaway!
On July 31st, Cat Miller, author of Unbound, will introduce the second book of her Forbidden Bond Series! Unforgiven will be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords!
Happily ever after is interrupted and the vampire nation is turned on its ear when Danielle Vaughn is snatched from the chapel on her wedding day. The search for the missing bride and her abductor brings Danielle’s family to its knees.Brandi Vaughn struggles to find herself in the shadow of her powerful vampire family and her socialite twin sister. The hunt for her abducted half-sister lands Brandi in an emotional tug of war between the light and the dark, good and evil, a warrior and a rogue. Sometimes good people do bad things. Sometimes the bad guys have a good reason. Could you forgive the unforgiven?
My Review
Well, well, well......Cat Miller how dare you write yet another book keeping me awake until 3 or 4 O'clock in the morning! Woman, don't you know I have kids to take care of each day! Then to top it off you tell me that I am not allowed to give away any spoilers in my review!!! Sorry everyone, I would not give you the spoilers even if you begged, pleaded and offered bribes! (We may negotiate the bribes part,lol)
Seeing you are viewing this book review prior to the release of the book I suppose you know that I was one of the extremely lucky ten whom was given Unforgiven to read and I promise this is a very honest review.
Okay, if you are all done yelling and cursing me about already having the book and getting to read it, shall we carry on with the review?
Let's see....how can I rate this book.....freaking amazing! I loved Cat's first book Unbound and the wonderful characters of Dani, Tessa, Griffin, Mason, Cayden and Chase (swoon, drool, daydream.....oh. Yes..review....)....however Unforgiven not only keeps these characters active (*gives Cat an evil look, not enough Chase for my mind*) but she brings the minor characters from Unbound out into the spotlight including our little savior Brandi whom helped stop a forced blood bond between Chase and her spoiled little...(ahem, okay no names) sister Samantha. She also brings out Griffin's current, kind of sort of Mate out ( yeah, gotta read it to understand) and Cayden. We are also introduced into a couple of new characters that have a HUGE impact on this story. Of course, Darren and the Rouge are back at it again....however due to my "Jennifer NO spoilers" (I can just see her virtually shaking her finger at me) rule made by Cat, I just can't tell you what they are up to this time! I will tell you this.....You ready....The Rouge Vampire is......................................................................
 Revealed in this book! HA! Thought I was going to name him didn't you!
This book starts right out with action and it just keeps on giving! More powers are discovered in those you did not even think about having a power, more mates are found, more attempts of lives and just a kick-ass story-line you won't want to put down! Your going to laugh, swoon, curse at characters, fall in love with characters and just wish you could jump right on into the story and beat the crap out of others! Let's not forget the...ahemm...love scenes, therefore this book is not meant for young readers! But, wow....gotta love some sexy and steamy scenes Cat brings to her books (fans self....is it hot in here?) . I give this book beyond the 5 stars allowed by sites like Amazon for it's action packed, amazing characters, sexy scenes and OMG please don't let this be the end of the book endings! Positively addictive, amazingly ....well....amazing story! I can't wait for more! Can I have more, can I can I can I?? <<<<< See addictive! Do they have an AA for book readers?????
Don't forget to pick this book up when it comes out and until then grab Unbound book one if you have not already done so!
Giveaway is following below! Sorry, US only!
About Cat Miller:
I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and now I live not far from my birth place in Perry Hall, Maryland. I have two teenage daughters and a man that keep me busy when I'm not working full-time as a Certified Medical Coder. I'm an avid reader and I love all genre of romantic fiction from historical to contemporary to paranormal. Sleeping has always been a problem for me so most nights I can be found in the living room reading or writing instead of in bed like the rest of the world. I don't watch television. It's not a conscious decision, it just never occurs to me to turn it on when I have books to read and writing to do. It can actually be a hazard, because I never know what the weather will be until I look outside and I have to rely on my kids and coworkers for local and world news. I love creating the characters you love and love to hate. My characters remind me of people I know and people I wish I had never known.
Things YOU can do to help the authors!!!!!!
Did you know that there is a "like" button next to all the book ratings stars on Amazon? Even more, did you know that having that button liked is just as important as the reviews themselves? There is also an area all the way at the bottom of the Amazon page where you are able to click buttons to tag where you think these books belong (paranormal, YA, Teen, paranormal romance ect.).
 These small tasks make a world of difference for the author and it only take a few seconds to do! Doing this for the authors is just as important as the wonderful reviews you do! Why? After a certain amount of likes and tags Amazon will start recommending these books to others whom are searching in the genres that said books are in! Therefore giving the authors precious books more exposure on an easier level!!! Thus in return, you have happy authors with a higher self esteem and enthusiasm to write even more wonderful books for us to read!  The authors write for us to step into an imaginary world outside of our own, so reward them for it! Review, like and tag every book you purchase!!!! Show the authors you love what they do for us! <3
Dawn Gray S.P.I.R.I.T Firestorm (Anchor Group Publishing) Freebie Friday!
When Samantha Ricketts finds herself placed in a town half-way across the country, her only worry is how did she get there. But when her life is saved by a handsome and mysterious man, the connection they feel is almost more than she can stand. Zander Smith was only acting on his instincts and training when he moved the dark-haired woman to safety but what he got from his heroics wasn't the distressed woman he had thought he was helping but a fireball of fury that sparked a storm within himself. Together they tap into the supernatural to uncover the mysteries surrounding the strange town they were slowly growing fond of before they became part of its history.
You usually can't find that many "ghost" stories that have a great romance feeling in the book, but this book has that and I enjoyed it. VANNASMOM  |  9 reviewers made a similar statement
Biography
Jennifer Malone Wright resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children. Between the craziness of taking care of her children, whose ages range from fifteen all the way down to one year, and being a homemaker, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on freelance work or her beloved fiction.
When she grew up, Jennifer always had her nose in a book. She has been writing stories and poems since grade school. This love of the written word and her strong interest in the paranormal is what has led to her first novel "The Birth of Jaiden," and her new series "The Vampire Hunter's Daughter."
In addition to being a mother and homemaker, Jennifer is also a very proud military wife. Moving around the country for the last eleven years has made her a bit of a nomad and she finds it difficult to be in one place for too long.
Great read... It reminds me a little of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy... The battle scenes are very descriptive and put you right there in the middle of them. But not in a gruesome way... I would defintely recommend this.
Author Bio
The directions on how to write my Amazon biography suggest telling my readers interesting details about myself. That left me scratching my mostly bald head trying to think of what folks would find interesting. I guess I'm a product of my Minnesota upbringing, I like to say "my lack of flare is my flare".
After high school and a couple of years at the local community college I spent an enlistment in the United States Air Force providing security for the air base before finishing up my B.S. in Engineering Technology and Geography at St. Cloud State University.
In my free time I enjoy a long run or a session in the weight room, nothing cures writers block like an early morning run on the weekend. Sunrises really are inspiring!
My beautiful wife, who is one of my biggest cheerleaders, calls me her man-child for my goofy sense of humor and how I act like one of our kids most of the time. I try to bring all these values and traits, that I find to be so important in my own life, to my characters in hopes that my readers can relate to them and immerse themselves into the story.
Hopefully this biography helps you, the reader, to get to know me just a little bit and gives you some background. Thanks for taking the time to let me tell you about myself.
Welcome to The Remnants, enjoy the adventure!
Echo of an Earth Angel by Sarah M. Ross (Review)
Book one in this new series!
Book Description
18 year old Tessa Copeland barely survived the worst year of her life—in fact, it was a miracle. After making it through the tragedy that killed both of her parents, she’s left to pick up the pieces of her life. Combating the holes in her memory and the concern of her friends was hard enough, but a new talent threatens to destroy everything she’s trying to reclaim.
David Allegri didn’t mean to ruin Tessa’s life. She was the brightest soul he’d seen in centuries and he couldn’t let her die, so the fallen angel used his abilities to heal her—only he took it too far and changed Tessa forever. Now, he has to figure out a way to explain what’s happening to Tessa and somehow protect both of them from the consequences.
His choice made them targets for the Hunters, who will use any means necessary to capture their prey. Only a desperate plan can help them escape, and sacrifices will be made. Time is ticking. Will they make it, or will they be lost to the echoes of fate?
My Review
Tessa is an 18 year old girl whom not only lost her parents in a terrible tragedy but did not find out until several months later when she finally woke from her coma! She's missed school, lost her parents and has spent weeks just hiding out from everyone except her best friend and roommate, Morgan.
Tessa just wants to try and move on with her life without everyone looking at her in pity and remorse and try to live like a normal 18 year old should..... Tessa's plans did not quite work out the way she hoped. Her hands start glowing, her friends injury just vanishes and a mysterious man shows up with more information then she could of ever known was coming!
Next thing she knows she has HUGE life altering changes, a major crush with the man whom caused her all these changes but how can she be mad at the one whom saved her life? A fallen Angel!?!?!  Things don't end there! Not only is David (her crush, savior and Angel) a shock to her life but she also has to deal with another angel, sworn to bring David back to the heavens to face his punishment for going rouge. I really need to stop rambling on about this or I am going to end up telling you all the whole story ( I loved it so much I could do a whole run down for you) !!! We don't want that! However, please believe me there is way more to this story then what I have told you so far! Way more twists and turns! Lots of other great characters to get to know and sooooo much more!
Sarah M. Ross has once again made me fall in love with her characters and wish I did not have to wait until her next fabulous release. I give this YA book 5 stars for her wonderful ability to create lovable and not so lovable characters, multiple twists and turns, great relationships and to keep you wanting more all in one book!
Author Sarah M. Ross
Biography (Via Amazon.com)
I started my obsession with reading at an early age, getting in trouble for sneaking BabySitter Club and Nancy Drew books into math class in elementary school. I would read any fiction book I could get my hands on. I knew it was an addiction when instead of grounding me from TV or music, my mom would take away my books as punishment (The Horror!). My love of all things paranormal was inspired by my good friend Laurie, who convinced me that books with vampires, witches, and all things shifter were amazing. After a little reluctance, I gave it a shot with the Sookie Stackhouse books, realized she was right, and the rest was history.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with my degree in English, and taught 8th graders to love reading as much as I do for several years. I will always be a proud member of the Steelers Nation, but I couldn't take the cold and moved my frozen tush to Florida where I now live with my family and two cats. You will find me now with my trusty Kindle in hand and toes in the sand!
When I'm not writing or reading, I am probably partaking in my favorite vice: sunbathing. I know it's wrong, but I love the feeling on the hot sun on my skin and could lay in it for hours. I do live in Florida for a reason!
